An energy industry expert with 40 years of experience. A graduate of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, where he obtained a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree and a PhD Geology.

He began his professional career at the Oil and Gas Institute as a research and engineering fellow. He gained managerial experience in the private sector, working in service operations for the upstream industry. During his time at Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG), he held numerous key executive positions, including Gas Sales and Marketing Director. From 2005 to 2017, he was associated with ORLEN as President of the Management Board of ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o.

A long-time member of supervisory boards of stock companies, as well as a member of the International Board of Directors. He has also been a member of numerous industry associations in Poland and abroad, including the World Petroleum Congress, Polish Gas Chamber.

Throughout his career, he has managed large teams in the oil and gas industry across the full spectrum of business operations, holding executive functions and delivering numerous major investment, acquisitions and restructuring projects. Over the past eight years, he has also led investment projects in low-emission energy generation and renewable energy in the private sector.

Since May 2024, he has been a Member of the Management Board of ORLEN S.A., responsible for the exploration and production segment (Upstream).
