Piotr Kearney
​President of the Management Board of ORLEN Upstream Polska
Piotr Kearney has over 30 years of experience in managing companies within the oil and gas, refining, petrochemical and chemical industries. Throughout his career, he has been associated with key players in the energy sector, including Rafineria Gdańska S.A., Nafta Polska S.A. and – since 2000 – with the ORLEN Group, where he has held various managerial and executive positions. From 2019 to 2025, he worked for the ORLEN Group of companies in the Czech Republic.

He has been actively involved in numerous acquisition and restructuring processes across ORLEN Group’s companies and assets. For many years, he contributed to shaping ORLEN’s strategic direction, supporting the Group’s growth into one of the largest energy conglomerates in Central and Eastern Europe. Over the years, he has been a board member at several companies, including Rafineria Nafty Jedlicze S.A., Rafineria Trzebinia S.A., IKS Solino S.A., ORLEN Deutschland GmbH, Polkomtel S.A., AB Mazeikiu Nafta, Unipetrol a.s., FX Energy Inc., Spolana s.r.o., Butadien Kralupy a.s. and HC Verva a.s.

Piotr Kearney played an important role in launching and developing the ORLEN Group’s upstream operations, overseeing the acquisition of several exploration and production companies in Canada between 2013 and 2015. He is a member of the Board of Directors of ORLEN Upstream Canada Ltd. Between 2006 and 2017 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of ORLEN Upstream, later becoming Vice President of the Management Board, responsible for finance.

He holds a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk. He also completed postgraduate studies in Corporate Value Management at the Warsaw School of Economics and an MBA program delivered by the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development. Piotr Kearney has participated in numerous training and conferences focused on the oil and gas industry, finance and mergers and acquisitions.
